Marathon Monday
So once again tomorrow is marathon monday. It always sneeks up on me. Every year I always hafta’ settle for saying “Well I guess there’s always next year.” But not this year, this year I am going to start training for next years marathon tomorrow. Probably not really though. I’m one of those lazy people who doesn’t run unless there’s an axe wielding maniac chasing me. Oh forgive me if I don’t feel like peeing blood or lactating after running a 26 or some odd mile marathon (look it up, it happens). I was the kid that walked the track during gym in high-school. But those other kids who walked the track in high-school have other reasons to celebrate tomorrow. Tomorrow is one of the biggest holidays for those that indulge themselves in the smoking of cannabis. Being that I don’t indulge myself I have no idea why 4/20 is such a big holiday for pot smokers, but I’ll assume this year it is to help “weed” out the extra super lazy people from the boston marathon. Last thing you’d want is for a buncha’ stinky hippies getting in the way of the legit runners who actually did take my idea and have been training for this years marathon a year in advance. (not that I have anything against hippies, I love hippies!) That wouldn’t make for a very exciting marathon. So yeah wether you’re planning on going to enjoy the boston marathon or going to smoke up in the boston common I hope this beautiful weather holds up for ya. If you’re reading this and your actually running in the marathon good luck and god speed! Personally I have big plans for sleeping in tomorrow seeing as I get the day off. Also today’s my brother’s birthday. Happy Birthday Bob! What are you like fourteen now?
